At the Cafe! Chapter-2

All smiles with a Candy Stick

Sometimes some feelings are often closed in letter and are placed safely under diaries!

"I wish you would have stayed longer, I wish you would have never returned 'Me' to myself when I was fully yours" Enaya said looking at the trunk
She walked near that trunk, opened it, removed few stuffs and then took out an diary which was lying at the bottom.

It has been since, when Enaya was twelve years, carrying a candy stick into her diary, as that was the 1st time when Meet has shared something with her. Meet was her childhood friend who was his neighbor and also a classmate. They use to play together, have fun together, even their parents would say that they are perfect and they do not have to worry when they are not around, they both took care of each other very well. Both Enaya and Meet were fond of each other, but Meet was little selfish, and stubborn while Enaya was kind hearted. 

It happened that Meet's father was transferred to Ahmedabad and whole family has to shift along with him. They both have promised that they would stay connected on phone calls and also would be sending letters to each other, but somehow due to busy life they both started losing each others promise. But Enaya never missed to write letter to Meet every week, and that remained unsend and it was directly placed into her diary.

Enaya has been into this city from last 2 years but never tried to contact Meet, nor did he, no matter both were having each others contact, but today she was not able to overcome her memories with him. She took out here phone, and opened Facebook, searched his name, and there he was.

She quickly ran her finger on all his pictures and sent him a Friend Request.

"You are now friend with Meet Mitra" popped her notification bar. She could not hold her happiness, there were butterflies flying in her belly and she was very desperate, she opened Messenger and typed "Hello" and erased it. She again wrote "Hi", again erased, again "Heya" and erased. She could not send him a message because she didn't wanted to look desperate to him, and she could see a notification of 1 New Message from Meet Mitra.

Her eyes remained wide opened when she opened his message.

"What are you typing since long, is it network error from my side that I am not receiving your message"

Reading this message sent by Meet, she was thrilled with happiness, her heart beat caught some kind of oscillation but it has to stop somewhere, so she logged out her Facebook from her phone, but could not get his words out of her mind. She was struggling not to take her phone, but within next ten minutes her patience gave up, she logged in again and there were 13 unread messages.

"Hi"
"No reply"
"Are you there"
"Are you still there"
"Offline"
"Enu, what happen"
"Are you ignoring me"
"I am so happy to see you here on Facebook"
"Am I getting too fusy for you"
"You were typing something"
"Please reply back once your are online"
"I am still waiting"
"Dropping my phone number if you feel to connect, 9123421341"

Damn, Meet was so desperately waiting for her message, she quickly stored her number, and dropped him a message on whatsapp!

"Hi Enaya here!
I hope I did't disturb you
Its okay if you are sleeping,
Bye Good night" She was not expecting Meet to sleep, but she has to be normal, she cannot show her feelings.

"No baby, I was waiting for your message on Facebook" Meet replied instantly
"Baby? Are you out of your mind?" Enaya was happy being addressed as Baby but she has to act.
"Oh please don't act, where are you" Meet ignored her, as he wanted to have some conversation with her.
"In Ahmedabad"
"What! Woww and you didn't even said this" Meet was totally baffled to hear that she was in Ahmedabad
"It's been 2 years Meet", Enaya wrote with a soft smile on her face
"You deserve a punch now, why you did't said me, we were friends, what happen?" Meet felt disheartened that Enaya was in Ahmedabad for 2 years and he could not meet her for once.
"Okay, can we meet tomorrow, or today, I know its almost 2 am, but I can still come" Meet was excited to meet her
"No, I stay in hostel and I cannot go out or meet anyone" Enaya expressed
"Fine, tomorrow morning 10:00 At the Cafe" Meet was trying to bridge the gap between them
"Fine, Friends Cafe, as it's near to my college" Enaya asked Meet to visit The Friends cafe which was next to her college
They both said good night and went off on whatsapp.
Enaya kissed that candy stick, went out at the balcony, closed her eyes, and just thanked every moment she chatted with Meet.

Memories were wrapped on a candy stick,
Placed inside a diary, which struggle to get out from the old trunk
Forever's were not decided, but I want you now
Like never before, and no afters
On and off, along with you
Discovering those feeling which were truly new...
