At The Cafe! Chapter-3

The Waffle Stick!

Finally Enaya and Meet would be meeting up after 10 long years.

Enaya changed almost 10 to 20 dresses till now to look perfect, which would not reveal any excessive fat on her body. She was not really fond of cosmetics, but she had an urge to look more beautiful than ever. She quickly borrowed a lipstick, liner, mascara, and a good shade from her room mate, and her room mate was shock liked she has been given shock of 440 watts.
It was already 10:30 am, while she has to be there at 10:00 am. She speed up and reached the cafe at 11:15 am, and she was surprised, not to see Meet at the cafe.
She took her regular table near the window, flipped her phone, dangling her feet to and fro, thinking if Meet has left as she was late.
She dialed his number, but no response, she tried again and again which was intruding her restless peace and finally she gave up, meanwhile she was served with her regular coffee and garlic bread but this time she refused to eat.
She was always been served by Jay(who was running this cafe). Jay could figure out her mood very well because he has seen her in every mood. He pull out another chair besides her.

"Are you okay, Enaya?"
"How did you know my name"? Enaya with confused look and still with eagerness to see Meet questioned Jay.
"How would I not know the famous writer and a poet who have been always found at this corner everyday in my cafe" Jay smirked
"Oh sorry, how much is remaining, have I not paid any of my previous bills, take this 250 , wait keep 500" Enaya was uneasy busy taking out money from her purse
"Hold on Enaya, you are one of our regular customers and no bill is due, relax, its been 2 years, I have not seen you refusing to this menu, are you okay?"
"Yes I am fine, its just I am waiting for my friend who didn't turn up, or he left because I got late, do you know anyone who was asking for me Jay"
"Mmm, no one was asking for you, you can call and confirm, simple" Jay was trying to break an ice for conversation
"I have called him more than 10 times, not a single call he is receiving, I don't know if he got angry or what?" Enaya with the puppy face adjusting herself on the chair and placing her arms on the arm rest.
"Oh, never knew you have got a boyfriend.."
"Boyfriend, no he is just my friend" Enaya interrupting Jay in the middle
"Oh sorry, well it has been a honor Ma'am talking to you for the first time in this entire 2 years" Jay trying make her comfort
"Hmm" Enaya simply nodded and again started to flip her phone.
Jay left Enaya without any intimation and she didn't even mind, but he was back within 5 minutes but this time with a nutella waffle stick
"Ma'am if you don't mind you can have this as a complimentary dish, and enjoy it until your friend arrives" Jay again grabbing a chair beside her.
Enaya was always fond of chocolate and the Nutella waffle stick was tempting her badly, it tempted her so badly that she forgot everything and quickly had a bite of it.
Her lips were so chocolaty that who would not want to taste it.
Jay was somehow maintaining distance from her, but his eyes could not resist not to see her eating like a kid.
Enaya caught him starring and turned slightly with waffle stick, feeling of discomfort was there, but Jay got up from there and went to his counter.
She was done with that stick, walked to Jay and thanked him, and again walked back to her favorite corner, took out her laptop and started jotting something, she did not call back Meet again, as she was not expecting this for the day, when she had specially bunked her college for the first time in this 2 years.
It was 2:00 pm Enaya was glued to her place, Jay felt she must be hungry so took a pizza with him.

"Here is your pizza, and I know you would say you have not ordered, but still you have to eat, and I am not going to listen any excuse" Jay trying to be friendly with her
Enaya raised her eyebrow and said, "Don't you think you are getting too friendly for the girl whom you don't even know"
"Welll we can discuss it later, I am now hungry so are you, let's attack" Jay taking a slice from the extra large Margarita.
Enaya didn't had any second thought, took another slice from it.
"Well that Nutella Wffle was the best thing I had in my life, Thanks!" Enaya thanked Jay
"Thanks to you Ma'am, by the way you were really licking it like a kid licking a candy stick" Jay replied

Enaya was again taken aback to that candy stick, and tears made its way through her cheek.

There were days, when candy stick would make me happy,
But today a new stick made a way to  reach my heart,
What is more tastier, or who is more familiar,
This 2 years, or that 12 years?
